Today was my first "meet the teacher" shin dig. As I sit here eagerly going through student portfolios, I find myself in tears. I find streams of hope running down my cheeks. Today, so much potential was placed before me. Potential some have yet to see. Today I came in contact with future doctors, future educators, future architects, and so much more. Today I saw what they could be and what they will be. This is the future. These kids are the hope our world needs. These kids will bring the peace and potential our world is seeking. I believe they will rise in the midst of chaos and be hope that our world so evidently needs....and #itallstartswithme and every other educator who will have potential standing before them. We were created for such a time as this. #fortheloveoffirstgrade
