My name is Katie Pearson and I teach first grade at Blue Haze Elementary in Fort Worth, Tx. I am a coffee addict, daughter of the King, lover of all things that sparkle, Christmas obsessor, Dr. Suess fanatic, and a KK. I have 7 nieces and nephews that make me daily want to be a better person. I also am a transparent teacher. I daily learn valuable lessons from my students. These lessons change my life and I'm willing to bet they have the power to change yours too. 

I graduated with my B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Children and Family Ministry in 2015 and will graduate with my Master's in Curriculum Development soon! I have been looking into doctoral programs. My dream is to one day have an untraditional school that reaches the students no one else wants to reach. Each student deserves an education that is magical. I believe that each student has potential but often times it remains untapped. I don't believe there are bad kids, there are good kids who make poor choices. We as educators must pull out the good that lies within every student. God saw me in a mess and sent someone to pick me up, dust me off, and pull out the good in me. That is what I want to do. I want to pull out the good and untapped potential that lies within every child.❤
